SUMMARY 35 An organization‟s health cannot be only evaluated from the quality of its functioning and its capacity to bring about the desired results at sustainable costs, namely on the basis of its effectiveness, efficacy and thrift. One would need to integrate such an unavoidable factor with the capacity to generate and maintain what is now described as organizational wellbeing, whose different and complex components vary from job satisfaction to stress reduction, from corporate social responsibility to prevention of risk and burnout, from containment of anxieties and “toxic” emotions (like envy and rivalry) to attention for the human costs implied in playing different organizational roles, of leadership as well as of followership. Today as a matter of course the issue of the unhealthy organization and the related work toxicity should not be faced without considering the anxiety and malaise of those who do not have a job, or who lost it or fear and are most likely to lose it. However, in order to avoid to get submerged by such an impressively huge and dramatic theme as is “the end of work”. I will restrain myself to discuss a more limited
